Sink Waste Disposals
Ideal for busy households, sink waste disposals are easy to use and quick to install. Many models feature quiet motors, overload protection and continuous-feed functionality - giving you powerful performance with minimal noise or effort.
By breaking down food waste at the source, waste disposers can also help reduce unpleasant odours and cut down on the amount of rubbish sent to landfill. It’s a simple upgrade that makes a big difference to your kitchen routine and your environmental impact.
Whether you're renovating or just looking to streamline your sink area, our waste disposal units offer reliable quality and everyday convenience.
If you need a hand, don't hesitate to drop us a message.
Frequently Asked Sink Waste Disposal Questions
What is a sink waste disposal unit and how does it work?
A sink waste-disposal unit (often called a food-waste disposer) sits under the sink and uses a fast-spinning grind ring to turn food scraps into a fine slurry that flushes away with normal waste water - no blades, no chemicals, just mains power and cold water.
Can you fit a waste disposal unit to any sink?
Almost any modern kitchen sink with a standard 3½″ (90 mm) waste outlet can take a disposer. Stainless-steel, granite-composite and fire-clay Belfast sinks all work—as long as the bowl thickness is under 25 mm and there’s at least 300 mm of cupboard height for the motor.
Will a waste-disposal unit damage a ceramic or Belfast sink?
No. Ceramic and fire-clay sinks are strong enough; the disposer weight is carried by a stainless mounting collar and support ring, not the sink walls. Just avoid overtightening the collar and always use the rubber vibration gasket supplied.
How to remove a waste disposal from a sink?
Turn off the power, disconnect the trap, support the motor with one hand and twist the mounting collar anticlockwise to unlatch it. Once the unit drops free, pop out the sink flange with a screwdriver and clean away old putty or silicone before refitting a normal basket strainer.
Are waste-disposal sink baskets a standard size?
Yes. All UK (and most EU) disposers use the same 3½″/90 mm sink flange, so replacement splash guards, stoppers and basket strainers are interchangeable between brands.
